The exploration of wetlands, in the largest area of Sardinia and of international importance with six RAMSAR sites, ponds and lagoons also belonging to the Natura 2000 network, was exceptionally possible thanks to the contribution of tourist guides and environmental and tourism associations. On horseback, by kayak, by bicycle, by motor ship, sailing boat and even aboard a fishing “gozzo”, the invitation to travel was welcomed not only by locals, but also by off-season tourists who discovered a an alternative piece of Sardinia of great naturalistic value

The visit of the Old Tower of Marceddì del Terralbese, open by the FAI Oristano guides on the two weekends of 13 and 19 February, and the guided tour of the Idrovora del Sassu on 20 February, organized by Lipu Oristano and AFNI, Association Naturalist Photographers of Sardinia, together with the bike tour in the Arborea lagoons, were the events that were most successful which went sold out.

"Every year we organize this appointment together with local partners, as part of the project for the protection, enhancement and governance of the wetlands of Oristano Maristanis - explains Alessio Satta president of the MEDSEA Foundation - this year we are particularly happy with the response from the territory, despite the period of great uncertainty we are going through, which demonstrates not only the ability to work as a team, but also to commit to defending one's resources and making these extraordinary environments better known to an ever wider audience ".
