This year Maristanis celebrates World Wetlands Day with you with a photo contest! Let’s share and raise awareness about our wetlands and its important role to protect biodiversity and our planet!

From 9 am on the 2nd February until midnight on 9th February 2021 you can share unpublished photos capturing the essence of our beloved Sardinian wetlands on your Instagram feed and say the first simple word you have in mind to title the picture when thinking of that special moment spent surrounded by the generous nature of our wetlands.  Additionally you can add a caption explaining more. 

But, remember, a picture is worth a thousand words, be visually effective and simple!

A jury of wetlands and communication experts will choose the most effective and interesting work from the point of view of communication and the author will receive a Nikon Aculon A211 Binoculars 12 X 50, Black for free. In addition, a short selection of the best pictures will get some special mentions, along with some gifts to explore and learn how to better photograph the wetlands, offered by Nieddittas and AFNI, the Italian Nature Photography Association.

Nieddittas “kit gift” consist of a backpack, a cap, a water bottle and a 50€ voucher to order online Nieddittas fish delights, while Afni will offer a free yearly subscription to its magazine “Asferico”.

The best visual message will then be relaunched on social media channels and used in the whole Maristanis  communication thoughout the year!  

Participating is simple!  

Share a photo with the hashtag #wwdsardegna tagging @maristanis on Instagram. No limit to the number of pictures you can post as well as your imagination!
