The Contest #SardiniaWetlands. "A beautiful photograph tells a story, reveals a place, an event, a state of mind, is more powerful than pages and written pages. In one shot, the writer Isabel Allende said in other words, you can capture the thought and emotions, the suggestions and the "genius loci". In short, a small miracle enclosed in an image. With the #SardiniaWetlands photo contest, reserved for students of secondary schools in Sardinia, we are on the hunt for small wonders: the competition will reward the most beautiful shots on the wetlands of Sardinia. Just a click, publish the photo on the social network Instagram, accompanied by the hashtag of the initiative #SardiniaWetlands #MARISTANIS #WorldWetlandsDay #MEDSEA #AFNI, report the name of the place and the date on which the photo was taken. The last step to participate to the Contest is to fill in the registration form, which must be sent - along with a copy of the image uploaded on Instagram - to This email address is being protected from spambots. What to photograph. The tip: let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the wetlands of Sardinia. A few more clues: stop your gaze on lagoons and marshes, peatlands or basins, natural or artificial, permanent or temporary, with stagnant or running water, fresh, brackish, or salty, including expanses of sea water whose depth, during low tide, does not exceed six meters, according to the definition of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance. The black and white or colour photo may capture the flora, fauna or landscape of the wetlands, whether anthropogenic or natural (towers, coastal dunes, fishponds, etc.), and must be uploaded through the student's Instagram account. Each candidate can participate with a single photograph.
The awards. The first prize winner will receive a souvenir certificate, a Sony brand camera, Model DSC-HX350, a photographic book on the rivers of Italy published by AFNI and an annual subscription to the naturalistic photography magazine ASFERICO.
The runner-up will receive a souvenir certificate, binoculars Marca Nikon Model Optics Prostaff 3S 8x42, a photo book on the rivers of Italy published by AFNI and an annual subscription to the nature photography magazine ASFERICO.

The shots will be evaluated by a specially prepared jury composed of: the Regional Coordinator of AFNI, the Project coordinator of Maristanis, a delegate of the Provincial section of the LIPU, a delegate of the Cultural Association 3DNA.
