The Maristanis project is now also visitmaristanis.it Terre d’acqua in Sardegna, the new website which aims at promoting the naturalistic, cultural and food & wine itineraries of the 11 municipalities taking part in the Maristanis project, an initiative of the MEDSEA Foundation in charge of the project since 2017.
The website, currently in Italian and constantly updated, runs alongside the project site maristanis.org and allows the final user to explore the territory, through the guides of the wetlands Municipalities, to learn more about the environmental and cultural characteristics directly linked to the coastal marine and wetlands environment of the Oristano area.
There are four sections currently on the site: the points of interest are listed under “explore”, with ponds & lagoons upfront, following the towns and cities of the project and some of the most famous beaches; in “what to do” the web pages bring to thematic guides on the four main travel segments (nature, culture, food and wine and sport). In the "stay" area, under construction, the restaurants, café and hospitality enterprises belonging to the Friends of Maristanis club and committed to reducing their water consumption are reported in the travel advice on "where to sleep and where to eat".
Last but not least, the magazine area talks about the projects, the people and the events of the area always with the theme of the protection, enhancement and promotion of the natural heritage of the RAMSAR ponds and lagoons of the Gulf of Oristano.
