The great participation to our international seminars confirms that the awareness on the #wetlands value is growing up. During the Event, held the last 30th November at MEM of Cagliari, the Maristanis project coordinated by MEDSEA Foundation in collaboration with the Area Marina Protetta Penisola del Sinis - Isola di Mal di Ventre, and cofounded by MAVA Foundation, has been introduced.
Maristanis aims to define a model of integrated management of the Gulf of Oristano's wetlands, which have been already included in the Ramsar Convention as sites of extraordinary importance for their biodiversity aspects in addition with the economic, social and cultural value.
The main international experts of this sector have been focusing on the conservation and enhancement of the wetlands pointing out the critical issues and defining opportunities for developing strategies.
