Wednesday 26th of March the MEDSEA Foundation chaired at the Scolopi Palace in Oristano the second annual meeting of the Local Consultative Group, composed by all the subjects involved in the Maristanis project.

Respect for the environment is the keystone of the project, promoted by the MEDSEA Foundation, in one of the most famous centres in Sardinia for its woven products.
7,705 hectares of wetlands of international importance recognised and listed in the Ramsar Convention, representing 60% of the entire heritage of Sardinia: a territory that embraces the area of the Gulf of Oristano and the Sinis Peninsula, along the 200 km of coastline that extend from Capo Mannu to the lagoon area of Marceddì, and that has been mobilized with enthusiasm for the WorldWetlandsDay.

Let's talk about birds, on the occasion of the World Day of Wetlands, scheduled for February 2: in Oristano, at the Lido Restaurant, from 10 to 12.30, is scheduled the scientific seminar sponsored by MEDSEA entitled "What priorities for the conservation of birds in the territory of the project MARISTANIS?", edited by LIPU.
Sardinian coasts at risk of erosion due to climate change: according to a recent study by ENEA, by 2100 seven new coastal areas of Sardinia could be submerged due to the rise of the sea. This is the theme of the World Wetlands Day, scheduled for 2 February 2019
